concept
Jürgen von Manger played the "Ruhrpottmenschen" Adolf Tegtmeier in this series. Tegtmeier looked the "people in the mouth" and talked about the problems of everyday life. The song “Wat you don't know yourself”, which was sung at the end of the episodes by Adolf Tegtmeier and his granddaughter (played by Karen Jansen, nine years old when the series was first broadcast ), was succinct.
