Telematch was the name of a German TV show that was broadcast from the 1970s to 1979 . The first broadcast consisted of a game between teams from two German cities, later the format was changed to five teams from five cities.
Telematch was produced by TransTel ( Cologne ). There were dubbed versions in English , Hindi , Arabic , French and Spanish .
The program was broadcast in Argentina , China , Colombia , Ecuador , El Salvador , Venezuela , Bolivia , Paraguay , Peru , Cuba , Costa Rica , Nigeria , Egypt , the Middle East , India , Sri Lanka , Turkey and Uruguay as well as in, among others various Southeast Asian states and the Caribbean . A total of 43 episodes were produced before production ceased.
In Spain between 1995 and 2007 TVE and between 2007 and 2009 FORTA broadcast the El Gran Prix del Verano show in the same format as Telematch.
