Telecom Namibia is the state-owned telecommunications company of Namibia , based in the Namibian capital Windhoek .
Telecom Namibia is a subsidiary of the Namibia Post and Telecommunications Holdings , which is 100 percent subordinate to the Namibian Ministry of Information and Communication Technology under Communications Minister Joel Kaapanda . Since then it has been an independent state company.
The managing director is Frans Ndoroma.

Telecom Namibia has a monopoly in the fixed network area . As of March 2010, there are 148,741 connections nationwide.
Cellular
With SWITCH , Telecom Namibia also offered mobile communications solutions based on CDMA and was officially established as the country's third mobile communications provider since the end of 2009. Switch had 54,000 customers (as of mid-2010). In August 2011 Telecom announced the conversion of the CDMA network into a GSM network.
In November 2012 Telecom Namibia took over the second largest mobile operator. The realignment is taking place under the name TN Mobile .
