The Temmesjoki is an 80 km long river in northern Ostrobothnia in Finland . The catchment area covers 1180.7 km².
The river has its origin west of the Oulujärvi . From there it flows in a north-westerly direction to the Gulf of Bothnia . Tyrnävänjoki and Ängeslevänjoki are larger tributaries of the Temmesjoki. Part of the Liminganjoki , which runs south, flows over a canal to the Temmesjoki a few kilometers before its mouth.
Finnish state road 4 runs along the course of the Temmesjoki river. The places Temmes and Ala-Temmes are located on the river.
