Tempel was an independent congregation in what is now the parish of Lansingerland .
The area of the temple parish was approximately 11 hectares. It was completely enclosed by the former municipality of Berkel en Rodenrijs ( Province of South Holland ).
Tempel had belonged to the Pijnacker community since January 1, 1812 and was its exclave . On April 1, 1817, the area became an independent municipality, which was incorporated into the municipality of Berkel en Rodenrijs on August 15, 1855. Today this area belongs to the municipality of Lansingerland.
Specialty
Temple was a community with no residents. With De Vennip there was another uninhabited community, but it was temporarily inhabited.
From the Dutch Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek , the dissolved municipality received the CBS no. 1383.
