history

The tennis club SCC was created as a department of the Sport-Club Charlottenburg eV after the union of the SC Westen 05 with the Charlottenburger SC 02 in 1911. In 1912 the department became a member of the Berlin Tennis Association and the German Tennis Association (DTB) and took part in the association games from 1913. In 1929 the tennis department moved from Wexstraße to the location that has remained to this day at Waldschulallee 45, 14055 Berlin-Charlottenburg. After the end of the Second World War , the SCC was initially dissolved and re-approved as the Eichkamp municipal sports group in 1946 . On October 10, 1949, the association finally got its old and present name back.

The Federal President Theodor Heuss awarded the SCC the Silver Laurel Leaf in 1963 in recognition of its outstanding achievements in more than 60 years , presented by the President of the German Sports Confederation Willi Daume . On April 24, 1968, the SCC tennis club became an independent registered association and has managed itself completely since then.
