Terra Fantasy Paperback
Terra Fantasy paperback was a 1974 to 1982 in Pabel Verlag appearing Fantasy - book series .
After the series Dragon - Sons of Atlantis, conceived by Günter M. Schelwokat , was not very successful and was discontinued in 1975, this was the second attempt by Pabel Verlag to participate in the Sword and Sorcery boom. The series was supervised by Hubert Straßl , who was already involved as an author at Dragon , and who also appeared here as author and editor under the pseudonym Hugh Walker . The main focus was on action-oriented low fantasy with collections of short stories by Conan inventor Robert E. Howard and novels by John Jakes and Andre Norton , some older authors such as Abraham Merritt , CL Moore and Henry Kuttner , as well as translations of fantasy anthologies edited by Lin Carter . Most of the volumes were translated by Lore Straßl . The Magira series appeared here as a German contribution
The paperbacks were published every four weeks at the beginning and monthly at the end. Volumes 1 to 53 appeared in the second edition from 1977 to 1981. Between 1984 and 1986 - now by Moewig-Verlag - 11 volumes of a new series were published, some of which brought new editions of previously published titles, in particular by Thomas Burnett Swann , but also some new titles, in particular by Hugh Walker.
