Teufel's grandmother was a twelve-part family series by the screenwriter Justus Pfaue that was broadcast on the ZDF's early evening program in 1986 .

The series is about the worries and joys of the three-generation Teufel family in Berlin who run a boatyard. Head of the Teufel family is the equally spirited and assertive grandma Dorothea Teufel, played by Brigitte Horney . The male lead, Dorothea's ex-husband Friedrich-Heinrich, called FH (pronounced: Eff Punkt Ha Punkt), embodied Peter Pasetti . Loni von Friedl and Gerd Baltus are represented as daughter Hetty and son-in-law Frank, the actors of the grandchildren Friedrich and Doris are Matthias Hinze and Natascha Rybakowski , who is known as the voice of Moni in Bibi Blocksberg or as a child's voice in numerous Benjamin Blümchen episodes.

Numerous supporting roles in Pfaue's series are cast with actors from The Wicherts from next door . B. Ekkehard Fritsch , Wilfried Herbst , Manfred Lehmann , Andreas Mannkopff , Horst Pinnow , Roswitha Schreiner and Gerhard Wollner in both Pfaue series.

The series has been available on DVD since July 2007.
