history

The place, which was first mentioned in 1299 as "Tiuringeshoven", belonged to the Steusslingen rule . The hamlet consisted of only four properties in 1700/01, three of which belonged to the Steusslingen Office (two of which were farms and a small Sölde) and one belonged to the Urspring Monastery (a small Sölde). The monastery estate was inhabited by the original waterer, who was responsible for the watering of the Urspringer meadows below Teuringshofen. Despite the small size of the hamlet, Teuringshofen had its own district and early medieval burials were also discovered there.

At the beginning of the 19th century he was assigned to the Oberamt Ehingen as part of Ennahofen .

Teuringshofen was assigned to the Alb-Danube district in the early 1970s and incorporated into Schelklingen in 1976.
