Théodore lacquer
Théodore Lack (born September 3, 1846 in Quimper , Bretagne , † November 25, 1921 in Paris ) was a French pianist and composer .
Live and act
Théodore Lack was considered an early talent, at the age of 10 he was appointed organist in his home parish. At the age of 14 he came to the Paris Conservatory , where he studied piano with Antoine François Marmontel , harmony with François Bazin and music theory with Louis Lefébure-Wély . At the age of 18 he received his diploma and then became an assistant for piano. He held this position from 1864 until his death in 1921.
His Études spéciales pour la main gauche , Op. 75. Claude Debussy wrote the ragtime- style piece Le petit nègre for his piano school, published in 1909 . In addition to the educational works, Lack created numerous salon pieces for piano, with titles such as Tarentelle, Boléro, Etudes élégantes, Valse espagnole, Scènes enfantines, Souvenir d'Alsace or Polonaise de concert.
