That's Why I'm Here is a studio album by James Taylor .

history

That's Why I'm Here is the first album by songwriter James Taylor after a four-year hiatus and after separating from his wife Carly Simon . To record his new songs, James Taylor brought numerous colleagues from previous years together into the studio. Don Henley of the Eagles , Joni Mitchell and Graham Nash are the most famous names. In addition to his own songs, he recorded a version of Buddy Holly's hit Everydayon, which was also released as a single. However, the album was far less successful than any of his previous albums. Taylor was able to rely on his old fan base, who lifted the album up to 34th place on the album charts in the USA. However, this was not enough for a gold record.
