The Champions is a British science fiction series that was produced between 1968 and 1969.
action
Craig Sterling, Sharon McCready and Richard Barrett are agents of the secret organization Nemesis , which is supported by the United Nations . This fights international crime and works for world peace. All three agents have their own specialty: Stirling is a pilot , McCready a doctor and Barret is a computer expert . When they are on a secret mission to China to ensure a deadly virus there , their plane crashes over Tibet . All three survive the crash caused by the supernatural forces of residents of a secret Tibetan settlement. But not only are they cured, they are also given super-mental and physical powers. Among other things, all of your senses are sharpened, you have longer stamina and more strength than before. Your superior, Commander WL Tremayne, has no inkling of the abilities of his agents.

The series was conceived by producers Monty Berman and Dennis Spooner . Berman had previously landed a hit series with Simon Templar , and Spooner had previously produced Doctor Who . The guest stars included Colin Blakely , Jeremy Brett , Donald Sutherland and Burt Kwouk .
The series was first seen on German television in 1991 on ProSieben .
