The Cooper Temple Clause was an indie / electro rock band from Reading , England , formed in 1998 . After three studio albums released in 2002, the band announced their breakup in 2007.

Band history

After being signed to RCA Records in 2000, the band released a few singles and EPs before releasing their critically acclaimed debut album See This Through and Leave in 2002 . The following year the band achieved international recognition with their album Kick Up the Fire, And Let the Flames Break Loose .

Most of the lyrics were written by Daniel Fisher, while Tom Bellamy wrote Talking To A Brick Wall , Into My Arms and In Your Prime for her 2003 album Kick Up The Fire, And Let The Flames Break Loose .

In September 2005 bassist Didz Hammond left the band and formed the band Dirty Pretty Things together with ex- Libertines members Carl Barât and Gary Powell .

In January 2007, Make This Your Own was released, The Cooper Temple Clause's third album and another EP.

After they did a short tour with their new album, Dan Fisher announced his departure from the band on April 24, 2007. The remaining band members decided to break up the band without further ado.
