The Enemy are an English rock band formed in Coventry in 2006 .
Band history
Just a few months after their founding, The Enemy released their first single "40 Days and 40 Nights" as a limited vinyl edition. A short time later they were traded by the NME as the "Breakthrough Act 2007" and received a contract with the Warner Music Group Stiff Records.
In 2007 they toured the UK with The Fratellis , The Paddingtons , Ash, Manic Street Preachers , Kasabian and The Stereophonics.
Her single “Away from Here” reached number 8 in the charts in her home country and its successor “Had Enough” rose to number 4. The emerging success gave them more opportunities to perform alongside established bands. They played alongside The Wombats and Lethal Bizzle on the NME 2007 Rock 'N' Roll Riot Tour and supported the Rolling Stones in the O₂ Arena as the opening act .
In early 2008, The Enemy won the XFM “Best New Music” award and were nominated at the NME Awards in the “Best New Band” and “Best Album” categories.
Her second album "Music for the People" was released on April 24, 2009.
On the video game “FIFA 13” from EA-Sports , her title “Saturday” is part of the official soundtrack.
