The Go! Team is an English six-piece band from Brighton . Their music style combines cheerleading singing , guitar sounds with early hip-hop, combined with 70's funk . Her songs consist of a mixture of self-played instruments and different samples .
history
The first album Thunder, Lightning, Strike was released in September 2004.
In June 2004 the band played in the opening act for Franz Ferdinand . The live band developed differently on stage than on the studio recordings. Ninja's vocals contrasted with the samples recorded in the studio.
The album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2005, which led to the album being released internationally in a legal version. The album was re-recorded and previously used samples that could not be used commercially were replaced with alternatives.
The band gained greater notoriety when the new version of Ladyflash hit the UK charts.
The single Junior Kickstart was used in the 2006 German feature film Knallhart .
