The Go Find is a band project by Dieter Sermeus from Antwerp , Belgium .
Band history
Dieter Sermeus, born in Antwerp in 1974, played guitar at the age of 15 and sang in the band Orange Black , which was based on the New Wave style of Duran Duran or The Cure . Two years later the group was already playing in the opening act for well-known indie bands such as Pavement , Stereolab or Seam . With the band Orange Black, Sermeus released the three albums It's Electric , Bright Lights and Morning Notes on the Atomic and Lableman labels , as well as the 7 " Freak Generation b / w Nutricious . Sermeus then founded the band Napkin Vs. Soda , where he stylistically one took on a new direction and recorded songs in a LoFi ambience. Numerous tracks appear on various compilations. A few years later Sermeus met Arne Van Petegem , who is known under the artist name Styrofoam . With him he successfully combined songwriting elements with electronic effects and called the music project The Go Find . The result was the album Miami , named after the musician's two-day trip to Miami and was released by Morr Music . Sermeus also performed with Styrofoam. He later founded his own live band and went on tour with them, including his second album Stars On The Wall , which was released in 2007 by Morr Music, Sermeus reunited G itarrensound with electronic elements. Sermeus recorded this album together with Nico Jacobs, Joris Calluwaerts and Tim Coenen, three musicians from his live band in Antwerp. Finally, Peter Pask joined the group on electric bass, so The Go Find had transformed from a solo project into a band. In 2010 the album Everybody Knows It's Gonna Happen Only Not Tonight was released .
