The Hoofddorp railway station is the second station in the Dutch town of Hoofddorp . The station is used by 18,884 people daily (2018). It is the central hub and end point in urban public transport . Regional trains run at the station.

history

A sprinter to Amersfoort Vathorst

The current station was opened on May 31, 1981 with the Weesp – Leiden line. The station was completely renovated in 1996 and got its current appearance, until 1996 the station had only two tracks, after the expansion four. As early as 1912 to 1935, the city had a train station on the former railway lines Aalsmeer - Haarlem and Hoofddorp - Leiden (Heerensingel).
