The Hoorn Station is the largest train station in the Dutch city of Hoorn . The station is used by 14,306 people every day (2018). It is the central hub in urban public transport. National regional and long-distance trains run at the station.

history

The station, opened in 1883, is located on the Zaandam – Hoorn railway line, which was opened to traffic on May 20, 1884 . The piece to Enkhuizen was put into operation on June 6, 1885. In addition to the Alkmaar train station, the Hoorn Kersenboogerd stop, which opened in 1985, also exists in the city. In addition, a museum railway has been running on the 20-kilometer railway to Medemblik since 1968 .
