The 's-Hertogenbosch Railway Station is the largest train station in the Dutch city of ' s-Hertogenbosch and with 47,347 travelers a day after the station Eindhoven Centraal the most frequented station in the province of Noord-Brabant . It is the central hub in urban public transport. National regional and long-distance trains run at the station.
history
The first station was opened on November 1, 1868 with the Utrecht – Boxtel line. In 1896 the new main building of the station was inaugurated, which was built by the architect Eduard Cuypers in the Renaissance style. The station burned down in 1944, which is why the station was rebuilt for the third time in 1951 by the architect Sybold van Ravesteyn. The current station in 's-Hertogenbosch was opened in 1998. This time the station was not completely rebuilt, only completely renewed.
