Den Haag Centraal is the main train station of the Dutch city of The Hague .
history
The historic reception building from the 19th century was demolished in the early 1970s and replaced by a modern building in the style of concrete brutalism . This new station was put into operation in 1973. As a waiting room for the Queen of the Netherlands , the historic station contained a princely room , which was moved to the Dutch Railway Museum in Utrecht before the station was demolished.

Den Haag Centraal is the largest terminal station in the Netherlands and has twelve tracks. It is one of the most important train stations on the Dutch rail network. The station is currently being rebuilt and modernized. This construction project is called Den Haag Nieuw Centraal (The Hague New Central Station).

Local traffic connection
There is a large platform above the railroad tracks, with the bus station and the stop of the city tram . Another tram stop is on the side of the train station. The station is also connected to the RandstadRail (a kind of light rail ). This stops at platforms 11 and 12. In the future, it is to have its own underground stop.
