The Gouda – The Hague railway is a railway line between Gouda and The Hague . The railway line is an important railway line in the west of the Netherlands . The length of the route is around 25 kilometers.

history

The route was built by the Nederlandsche Rhijnspoorweg-Maatschappij and opened on May 1, 1870. The maximum permissible speed is usually 130 km / h. The line was electrified in 1938 . There are six train stations on the line; another station is being planned.

Train traffic

Intercity trains currently run on the route from Den Haag Centraal to Gouda every 15 minutes. These only stop in Gouda and The Hague. In addition, regional trains run every 30 minutes from Utrecht via Gouda to The Hague. In the rush hour run on the track two additional regional trains .
