The Almere Oostvaarders railway station is a station of the Dutch town of Almere . The train station is on the edge of the Almere Buiten district. It is served by six bus routes. National regional and long-distance trains run at the station.
history
In 1988, when the Almere Buiten – Lelystad section was under construction, a four-lane viaduct was built on the site of the current train station to build the future Almere Buiten Oost station. Since the population of Almeres is continuously increasing, another train station became necessary on the route. Since opening, it has been the end point of an InterCity train from Utrecht Centraal and a Stoptrein from Uitgeest .
