The Hottie & the Nottie (Original title: The Hottie & the Nottie ) is an American comedy directed by Tom Putnam from 2008 . The premiere took place on February 8, 2008 in American cinemas.

After his girlfriend left Nate, he remembers his first love, Cristabel, from the first grade, whom he had to leave because of his move from Los Angeles to Maine. With the help of his old school friend Arno, he can meet the hugely adored Cristabel. At the end of school, however, she swore that she would not have sex again until her unattractive friend June found her dream man.
With money and booze, Nate can get a man to show interest in June during a double date (as " Cole Slaw sen"). June accuses Nate of exclusive interest in Cristabel, but lets him initiate beauty treatments. Cristabel is interested in Nate but wants to keep her oath. With hypnosis, Nate gets "Cole" to be interested in June again. When "Cole" wakes up from hypnosis, runs away screaming and a pantomime makes fun of June in front of many people, she gets the support of the single Johann. Johann offers her free dental treatment.
Nate sees Johann as a competitor to Cristabel. As an unemployed art historian and average man, he thinks he has no chance against the multi-talented Johann. His jealous behavior leads him to get a pass from Cristabel. He meets with the meanwhile beautified June in friendship. She promises to stand up for him at Cristabel. When they first kiss, Nate is so surprised that June feels insulted.
Nate is invited to Cristabel's party. June is determined to sleep with Johann despite his lack of love. After successfully passing a few character tests, Cristabel is finally ready to sleep with Nate. When Nate is looking for candles in June's room and discovers his first-grade comfort Valentine card, he decides to buy them. At the same time June changes her intention to sleep with Johann and leaves him. Both meet near Johann's house and Nate makes her a declaration of love.
