The Pit FM was an Australian internet radio based in Perth . Pit FM was founded in 2010 and specializes in the metal , punk and hardcore punk scenes.

Newcomer bands have the opportunity to send specially composed pieces to the transmitter and to be played in airplay. Pieces by popular acts are also played on The Pit FM. The online radio station chooses the album of the year every year . The suggestions for this are accepted by the station's listeners.

The Pit FM crew includes Trev McDonnell, Dylan Tonge, Ryan OByrne, Dan Hynes, Dave Jenner, James Gamble, Brendan Hall, Ryan Johnson, Ryan lee, Michael Banting, Julian Bridge-Meek, Jacob Impson, Noah Skape, Pat Decline, Kyle Jones, Colin Dickie, Aaron Kenner, Phoebee Frost, Mitch Bowman, Kieran Molloy, Paul Macfarlan, Tahnee Graham and Blake Heldt.

2012 Trev McDonnell announced that The Pit FM would be closed. This is mainly for private reasons. Trev McDonnell founded his own concert agency with Project: Hive .
