The Priests is the 2015 debut film by South Korean director Jang Jae-hyun . The film is based on Jangs with the short film 12th Assistant Deacon , which won the 2014 Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival award for best film .

Messenger Rosicrucians of the Vatican's lead in Seoul an exorcism by. After they can banish the demon in an animal, they hurry with the animal in the car and hit a girl. They drive on, but shortly afterwards the car is involved in a serious traffic accident and only the animal survives.
The girl who was hit now appears to be possessed by the demon and survives when she tries to kill herself. The experienced priest Kim and the deacon Choi want to carry out another exorcism and procure the necessary things, including a. a piglet in which the demon is to be banished. The first attempt fails and Deacon Choi flees scared. However, he returns and they try again, against the wishes of the parents who call the police. This time the expulsion succeeds, but the girl Yeong-sin dies. Shortly afterwards the police arrive and find out that he is dead, which is why they want to arrest the priests. However, Deacon Choi can escape with the piglet, as the demon fights back violently and lets the light go out. So he escapes from Myeong-dong and wants to throw the piglet into the Han-gang at the nearest bridge . However, the priest told him beforehand that if he did not make it in time, the last person with whom the demon had contact would become the new "host". So he throws himself off the bridge with the piglet. At the end you can see Choi rising out of the water on the bank and how the hand of Yeong-sin, who was believed to be dead, suddenly moves after her mother holds it.
