action
Within several years, almost all people in Scandinavia die from a virus that is transmitted through rain. After six years, the two Danish siblings Simone and Rasmus leave their safe bunker to find the remains of civilization. They join a group of young survivors with whom they roam the deserted Scandinavia in search of signs of life.
It becomes clear to them that existential challenges such as love, jealousy and growing up persist even during a post-apocalyptic struggle for survival.

criticism
Katja Belousova writes in Die Welt that the skillful development of the characters is what makes the series so attractive. Superficially it is an action-packed search for the cause of the deadly rain; At the same time, the series is also "a story about real and elective affinities, about humanity and solidarity".
The website lauterfilme.de found less nice words for the series set in Denmark . In this review, the first season of the series was dubbed "a very average trip to a post-apocalyptic world".
