The Sleepover Club is a 52-part Australian television series about five girls who have formed their own club. The show was in Germany on KI.KA broadcast.

First season

Once a week there is a so-called " sleepover ", where all the girls meet at one of the friends and spend the night together. In the evening they go on games and other activities together. Every week there is a change of where the sleepover should take place. The friends are Frankie, Fliss, Kenny, Rosie and Lyndz. The girls have some enemies. Some are the 'M & Ms', their real names are Matthew (the so-called leader), Michael (Lyndz's brother) and Marco (an Italian who is in love with Fliss). They often play pranks on the girls and annoy them, but the girls then take revenge on them, so this hostility has a happy ending in every episode . However, this “enmity” is limited, so it is more a result of the rivalry between boys and girls . The other enemies are Sara and Alana, two of the girls' classmates. Sara, who is very self-centered, has wanted to be accepted into him since the club was founded, but her mean and scheming manner does not exactly make her stand out for that.

In their free time, the girls often go to the “Beach Hut” café, where the owner, Mr. Stefanopolis, serves them smoothies . With 'Mr. The girls are good friends, he is at their side as best he can with words and deeds. For this, the girls return the favor to him, e.g. For example, when he wants to give up his café for reasons of age, they show him how important he is in the whole town. Then 'Mr. S 'that he won't give up the café after all.

Second season

The second season of the Sleepover Club has a similar content to the first. There are sleepovers regularly and problems with boys. However, the characters have been replaced: The new girls are named Charlie (Frankie's cousin from the first season), Brooke, Jess, Maddy and Tayla. Like the girls in season one, they too have some enemies: boys Declan, Jason and Simon (Brooke's stepbrother) and two opposing girls, Caitlin and Krystal.

Trivia

The main characters in the second season have adopted the characteristics of the five girls from the first season. Fliss and Tayla are fashionistas, Kenny and Maddy love sports, Charlie is reminiscent of her cousin Frankie from Season 1, who has the same characteristics as Lyndz and Jess, as well as Rosie and Brooke. The two opposing girls from season two, Caitlin and Krystal, are just as mean as Sara and Alana. The fact that Simon is Brooke's stepbrother is also a reminder that Lyndz and Michael are siblings and rivals.
