The Suicide Machines are a skacore band from Detroit that formed in March 1991 and disbanded in May 2006. Since 2009 the band has been performing again occasionally.

Their first major label album , Destruction by Definition , sold more than 200,000 copies. It reached number 15 of the best-selling albums of 1997 in the alternative release charts of “Soundscan”. The magazine “ Alternative Press ” named it one of the best American pop albums of the year.

style

With their political mix of styles of hardcore , punk rock , reggae and ska , they have made a name for themselves and outlasted some trends. With their music, the group presented a critique of the capitalist system and drew attention to problems in the world. Many of their songs combined a reggae melody with hardcore punk elements.
