The Toys
The Toys was an American girl group from the 1960s .
history
The three girls already met at Woodrow Wilson High School and made their first attempts at singing together. After finishing school they got their first appearances as background singers, then they got a record contract. The first song to be published in 1965 was A Lover's Concerto , an adaptation of the minuet in G major, ascribed to Christian Petzold , from the little music book for Anna Magdalena Bach . It became the first and only million seller of the girls' trio.
They then got numerous appearances on TV shows and played in the feature film The Girl in Daddy's Bikini , but disappeared again in late 1966.
