This episode list contains all episodes of the American television series The Wire, sorted according to the American first broadcast . Between 2002 and 2008, 60 episodes were created in five seasons. The last episode in the US aired HBO on March 9, 2008. There are no plans for another season. An episode normally lasts about 60 minutes. Exceptions are episode 50 with 75 minutes and the final episode (number 60) with 90 minutes.
