Theo Kellner (born April 13, 1899 in Erfurt ; † February 26, 1969 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German painter and architect .

Kellner was a student of Lyonel Feininger and Hans Poelzig , and had been friends with the painter Charles Crodel since 1926 . From 1926 to 1931 he worked under the designation Atelier für Architektur in association with Felix H. Hinssen and Gustav Wirth in Berlin and Erfurt, since 1932 in association with Fritz Spahr in Erfurt. Kellner was a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA) by 1933 at the latest . From 1935 he was mainly active in the preservation of monuments , since 1945 in collaboration with Karl Tetzner. After 1945 Kellner was involved in the reconstruction of Frankfurt am Main. He had been based there since 1951 and worked in conjunction with Wilhelm Massing .

  • 1930: Building of the general local health insurance fund in Erfurt, Augustinerstraße 38
  • 1931: Reconstruction of a house for the manufacturer Arthur Wolff in Erfurt, Government Street 43 (under monument protection ) together with Charles Crodel
  • 1933/1934: two competition designs for a memorial in Erfurt (together with Fritz Spahr; awarded 1st and 4th prize)
  • 1934–1935: Porcelain cabinet for the Angermuseum in Erfurt (with three glass paintings by Charles Crodel; destroyed after 2000)
  • 1935: Dr. Ullrich, Schöne Allee 12, Gotha , together with Charles Crodel
  • 1936: Workshop building for the Erfurt-Gispersleben power plant , Zittauer Strasse 31
  • 1936–1938: Restoration of the Martin Luther site in the Augustinian monastery in Erfurt (especially the Augustinian church )
  • 1936 Lebensbanksiedlung Schlossallee / Jägerstraße, Gotha
  • 1937: Renewal of the Barfüsserkirche with ceiling painting by Charles Crodel (destroyed in 1944)
  • 1942: Drafts for a Gauforum on the Petersberg in Erfurt
  • 1945/1946: Construction management for the reconstruction of the Augustinian monastery destroyed by air raids on Erfurt (together with Karl Tetzner, who took over the construction management after Kellner moved to Frankfurt am Main)
  • 1945–1950: Restoration of the St. Thomas Church in Erfurt (together with Karl Tetzner)
  • 1947: Reconstruction of the Free German Hochstift and the Goethe House in Frankfurt am Main
  • 1950–1954: Restoration of the Frankfurter Hauptwache (together with Wilhelm Massing)
  • 1950–1954: Restoration of the Frankfurt Katharinenkirche (together with Wilhelm Massing and Charles Crodel)
  • 1959–1960: Administration building for the Deutsche Treuhandgesellschaft in Frankfurt am Main, Beethovenstraße (together with Charles Crodel)
  • 1959–1965: Restoration of the Frankfurt Peterskirche (together with Wilhelm Massing and Charles Crodel)
  • 1961–1963: Restoration of the town church in Friedberg (together with Charles Crodel)
  • 1962–1963: Restoration of the Trinity Church in Alsfeld (together with Charles Crodel)
  • 1965: House in Kronberg im Taunus
