Theodor Ferdinand Bock

Theodor Ferdinand Bock (born December 27, 1859 in Prague ; died April 14, 1937 in Vienna ) was a German writer and journalist. His literary work appeared under the pseudonym Ferdinand Stieber until 1910 .

Life

After completing his studies, Bock first worked as a bookseller, but then turned to the stage, where he became friends with the actor Friedrich Mitterwurzer . Eventually he went into the civil service, became a postal worker and from 1879 also worked as a writer. Through the mediation of Paul von Schönthan , he became a journalist and for a decade edited the Austrian family correspondence that he had founded . From 1910 he worked as a dramaturge and editor for the Albert Ahn publishing house , first in Bonn and then in Berlin.

Since 1902 he was married to the journalist and writer Ida Bock .
