Julian Krubasik

Julian Krubasik (born 1984 in Munich ) is a German cameraman , photographer and video designer .

life and work

After graduating from high school, Krubasik worked as a camera assistant before studying film at the College of Art in Scotland in Edinburgh in 2006 . He then spent six months studying in Bangalore , where he took courses at the Shrishti School of Art & Design . From 2010 he studied at the Munich University for Television and Film in Munich. Since then he has been working for underground and young directors such as Katrin Arendt , Erec Brehmer , David Clay Diaz , Andreas Irnstorfer and Anatol Schuster . In 2013 he also started working as a video designer in the theater. Since then he has worked for several productions by Stephan Kimmig in Munich, Frankfurt, at the Salzburg Festival and in Zurich.

His work as a cameraman has been shown at a number of international film festivals, for example the Festival de Cannes 2011 and 2012, Camerimage 2013 and the Berlinale 2015 and 2016 . The short film An ideal place was shown at the Berlinale 2015 in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section, and Krubasik and his fellow students at the HFF were awarded the Dialogue en perspective jury prize by an international jury for their work on the film .
