Theodor Hofmann

Theodor Hofmann (born October 16, 1843 in Sulz am Neckar , † April 22, 1914 in vacation ) was a Catholic clergyman, professor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hofmann attended high schools in Ellwangen and Ehingen and the University of Tübingen (theology and philology). In 1867 he was ordained a priest, after which he was vicar in Schramberg , repetent in Tübingen and private tutor in Versailles . In 1877 he became a professor at the upper secondary school and head of the Konvikt in Ehingen and in 1894 pastor in vacation.

In a replacement election on November 17, 1896, he was elected as a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 13 ( Aalen , Gaildorf , Neresheim , Ellwangen ). He represented the constituency until 1907 and belonged to the faction of the Center Party .
