Theodor Schube

Theodor Schube (born October 8, 1860 , Breslau ; † June 6, 1934 , ibid.) Was a Silesian , German naturalist , botanist and high school professor . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Schube ".

Live and act

During his studies, Schube became a member of the Raczek fraternity in Breslau in 1878 and of the Teutonia fraternity in 1879 . Theodor Schube worked and researched mainly in Lower and Upper Silesia , which was part of Germany during his lifetime. He was a professor at the Wroclaw High School at the Zwinger and described various tree species and other plants in his Silesian homeland. Among other things, discovered and examined Schube the near the city Zabór to-find Napoleon oak , it was with an estimated age of 750 years, the oldest in the English oak negotiated Poland.
