Theodor Widmayer
Theodor Wilhelm Paul Widmayer (born April 14, 1828 in Stuttgart ; † April 23, 1883 there ) was a German genre and portrait painter , silhouette artist and photographer .
Theodor Widmayer studied at the Stuttgart Art School and then privately from 1849 to 1853 with Heinrich von Rustige ,
He continued his studies from 1854 to 1857 at the Brussels Art Academy . Then he returned to Stuttgart.
From 1858 to 1859 he ran the “Pfann & Widmayer” photo studio together with Christian Pfann . After a year, the business partners separated. Pfann opened his own atelier.
Widmayer mainly painted genre pictures, later also portraits of Stuttgart citizens.
