Theodor Witte (lawyer)
Theodor Witte (born June 27, 1811 in Hanover ; † August 17, 1879 there ) was a German administrative lawyer and insurance director.
Life
Theodor Witte was the son of Hofrat Witte in Hanover. From 1830 he studied law at the University of Göttingen , where he became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen in 1831 . He entered the administrative service of the Kingdom of Hanover . He became auditor in Hanover in 1834, first in Hitzacker in 1837, in Osterholz in 1838 and in Agathenburg in 1840 . He then moved to Landdrostei Lüneburg as an unskilled worker in 1841 , where he became a councilor in 1847. Since the beginning of 1864 Theodor Witte was director of the Landschaftliche Brandkasse Hannover . Until the annexation of the Kingdom of Hanover by Prussia in 1866, he was a member of the Hanover State Council .
