Eva Therése Sjölander (born May 4, 1981 in Sollefteå ) is a former Swedish national ice hockey player .

Career

Sjölander made his debut for the Swedish national team as a 15-year-old and at the age of 16 she played at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano .

At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , she won the bronze medal four years later at the Games in Turin , the silver medal. In 2005 she won the bronze medal at the World Championships , after having participated in World Championships in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004.

At club level she played for Sollefteå HK in her childhood , as an adult for MODO Hockey (women) and Järveds IF (men). In total, she completed 159 international matches, in which she scored 26 goals, for Sweden and 450 games for MODO Hockey.

After her retirement from competitive sports, her jersey with the number 10 was blocked at MODO Hockey.
