Theuns Andries Willem "Worsie" Kotzé (born July 16, 1987 in Karasburg , South West Africa ) is a Namibian rugby player and former national player for his country. Kotzé is used as a utility player in rugby union . With 430 points he is the most successful national player in Namibia.

Career

societies

Kotzé began his club career in his youth with the Griquas and Leopards in South Africa . He stayed there in his first professional years and played from 2008 to 2010 with the NWU Pukke and 2010 with the Leopards. After a short detour to the Welwitschias , Kotzé played again in South Africa from 2011 to 2013, with UJ , SWD Eagles and Durbanville-Bellville . From 2013 to 2015 he played in France for Pays d'Aix RC and US Bressane . In 2016 he was again under contract in South Africa, this time with the Boland Cavaliers .

National team

Kotzé played in the Namibian national rugby union team between 2011 and 2017 . He made his debut on June 15, 2011 against Portugal . He participated with the Welwitschias in the Rugby Union World Championships in 2011 and 2015 . From 2014 to 2017 he won the African Rugby Union Championship with Namibia.
