Thies Stahl (* 1950 ) is a German psychologist , author and psychotherapy teacher.

Life

Stahl studied psychology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel from 1970 to 1977 and graduated with a diploma. He completed additional training in conversation psychotherapy from 1974 to 1977, in Gestalt therapy from 1977 to 1982 (with Hilarion Petzold ), in family therapy from 1977 to 1983 (with Virginia Satir and C. Gammer), in hypnotherapy from 1979 to 1985 (with John Grinder , Jeffrey Zeig ), in NLP from 1980 to 2006 (with John Grinder, Richard Bandler, Robert Dilts ) and in systemic constellation work from 2000 to 2012 (with Matthias Varga von Kibéd , Insa Sparrer , Bert Hellinger , Gunthard Weber and Michaela Kaden). In 1980 he translated the first NLP book by the founders Richard Bandler and John Grinder and brought NLP to Germany. He is an NLP teaching trainer and coach.

In 1981 Thies Stahl founded the "German Society for Neurolinguistic Programming" (DGNLP), in 1989 joined 20 DGNLP trainers trained by him to form the "Trainer Association for Neurolinguistic Programming" (TGNLP), and was on the board of the German Association for a while for Neuro-Linguistic Programming ”(GANLP) and in 1996 initiated the merger of the three largest German NLP associations to form the German Association for Neuro-Linguistic Programming (DVNLP). From 1996 to 1998 Stahl was a founding member of the DVNLP and then its long-term honorary member. In 2015, Thies Stahl left this association.

Thies Stahl works as a psychotherapist (HP), coach, trainer and further trainer in NLP, coaching, mediation and systemic constellation work and develops his own approaches to systemic approaches in working with individuals, systems and intergenerational entanglements.
