Thomas Bezucha

Thomas Gordon Bezucha (born March 8, 1964 ) is an American director and screenwriter .

Life

Bezucha's father taught at various universities, so the family often moved. Bezucha grew up near Northwestern University , Princeton , Syracuse and most recently in Amherst , where he attended Amherst Regional High School.

Bezucha studied fashion design at the Parsons School of Design and began his career in the fashion industry, first as Senior Director of Creative Services for Polo by Ralph Lauren and later as Vice President of Creative Services for Coach . In the late 1990s, he decided to realize his childhood dream of working in the film industry. He wrote the script for the LGBT drama Big Eden , which he was able to film himself in 2000 with Arye Gross , Eric Schweig and Tim DeKay in the leading roles.

His next film The Stone Family - No Engaging! was created in 2005. In 2011 the love comedy Suddenly Star was released . Bezucha's script for Deine Juliet was filmed by Mike Newell in 2018 .
