Arye Gross (born March 17, 1960 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Gross comes from a Jewish family. He graduated from the University of California and the Conservatory at South Coast Repertory . Several theater roles followed in the Los Angeles area at the South Coast Repertory , El Teatro Campesino , Pasadena Playhouse , Odyssey Theater Ensemble , MET Theater, and Stages Theater Center .

In the comedy Soul Man (1986) he played one of the bigger roles on the side of C. Thomas Howell and Rae Dawn Chong . In the action film Tequila Sunrise , he starred alongside Mel Gibson , Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell . From 1994 to 1995 he was in the television series Ellen . In the comedy The Hollywood Killer (1997) he played one of the leading roles alongside Joe Pantoliano , and he took on another leading role in the award-winning film drama Big Eden (2000). In the action film Just 60 Seconds (2000) he appeared alongside Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie .
