Thomas Decoud (* 19th March 1985 in Oakland , California ) is a former American American football poker players to position the Safties . He played six years for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Carolina Panthers for a year before retiring .

Early years

DeCoud attended high school in Vallejo , California . He later attended the University of California, Berkeley .

NFL

Atlanta Falcons

In the 2008 NFL Draft , DeCoud was selected in the third round by the Atlanta Falcons in 98th place. It was initially used sporadically in the special teams . In his second season he completed all games as a starter, including 68 tackles , 2 sacks and 3 interceptions . After the 2012 season he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time , among other things because he got six interceptions in one season. On March 11, 2014, DeCoud was released from the Falcons.

Carolina Panthers

On April 10, 2014, the Carolina Panthers signed him. He was released on February 17, 2015 and never played a single NFL game.
