Thomas Ernest Abell Dale

Thomas Ernest Abell Dale (born April 25, 1961 in Vancouver ), often abbreviated to Thomas EA Dale , is a Canadian art historian who primarily deals with the art history of Venice , Aquileia and Northern Italy .

Life

Thomas Ernest Abell Dale, mostly published as Thomas EA Dale, was born in Vancouver, the largest city in the Canadian province of British Columbia . Dale received his bachelor's degree in 1984 from Trinity College, University of Toronto , and his Master of Arts in 1986 from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore . There he was also in 1990 with The Crypt of the Basilica Patriarcale at Aquileia. Its Place in the Art and History of the Upper Adriatic , a work he published in 1997.

He initially worked as an assistant professor at Columbia University in New York until 1996 , and since then as a professor of # Professorships in Anglo-American countries . As an assistant professor, he taught at the University of Wisconsin – Madison from 1999 to 2000, then with tenure until 2005. Since then he has held a chair there and has been teaching at the department of art history since 2008. In 2008 he was visiting professor at the Paris École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales .
