Dierre is a French municipality with 608 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the Région Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Loches and the canton of Bléré . Their inhabitants call themselves the Dierrois . The municipality is a member of the Communauté de communes de Bléré Val de Cher .
geography
Dierre is about 24 kilometers east-southeast of Tours on the Cher , which borders the municipality in the south. The neighboring municipalities of Dierre are Amboise in the north, La Croix-en-Touraine in the east, Bléré in the south and south-east, Athée-sur-Cher in the south-west and Saint-Martin-le-Beau in the west.
The small Amboise-Dierre airfield is located in the municipality .
