Civray-sur-Esves is located about 38 kilometers south of Tours on the Esves River and its tributary Ligoire , which borders the municipality in the north-west. Civray-sur-Esves is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Sepmes in the north and north-west, Bournan in the north and north-east, Ligueil in the north-east, Cussay in the east and south-east, Descartes in the south and Marcé-sur-Esves in the west.
