The Esves is a river in France that runs in the Indre-et-Loire department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises in the municipal area of Betz-le-Château , initially drains in a north-westerly and west-westerly direction, later turns to the south-west and flows 39 kilometers below the village of Grignon , in the municipality of La Celle-Saint-Avant, as a right tributary into the Creuse . A second estuary reaches the estuary about 500 meters further upstream.
