Courçay is a French municipality with 807 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Loches and the canton of Bléré . The inhabitants are called Courciquois .

geography

Courçay is located in the historic province of Touraine (also called Jardin de la France ) on the Indre River , which borders the municipality in the north, about 30 kilometers east-southeast of Tours . Courçay is surrounded by the neighboring communities Athée-sur-Cher in the north, Cigogné in the east and north-east, Reignac-sur-Indre in the south and east, Tauxigny-Saint-Bauld in the west and south-west, Comery in the west and Truyes in the north-west.
