Truyes is a French commune with 2,433 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Tours and the Canton of Monts (until 2015: Canton Chambray-lès-Tours ). The inhabitants are called Troïciens .

geography

Truyes is located on the Indre River , which forms the southern municipal boundary. Truyes is surrounded by the neighboring municipality of Azay-sur-Cher in the north, Athée-sur-Cher in the north and northeast, Courçay in the east and southeast, Cormery in the south and Esvres in the west.

The A85 car route runs through the municipality .
