Larçay is a French commune with 2,462 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Tours and the canton of Montlouis-sur-Loire . The inhabitants are called Larcéens .

geography

Larçay is located on the southern bank of the Cher River . Larçay is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of La Ville-aux-Dames in the north, Montlouis-sur-Loire in the northeast, Véretz in the east, Esvres in the south, Chambray-lès-Tours in the west and southwest and Saint-Avertin in the west.

The former route nationale 76 (today: D976) runs through the municipality .
